What if my child does not learn the Spalding Method at school?

This course is ideal for anyone who has a child learning the Spalding Method, even if your child is not learning the Spalding Method it will give you the tools to support classroom instruction at home. This course is for anyone who wants to take the guess work out of helping their child to read, write and spell effectively.

My child is dyslexic, will this really help?

Research has determined that dyslexia and other reading difficulties stem from a core deficit in phonological awareness, a skill that is needed to associate spoken words with the written language. The parent course incorporates all the recommended interventions and is a diagnostic method. Instruction is constantly monitored and tailored to the indivdual needs of students. Differentiated instruction is thus embedded in The Spalding Method. In addition to this, Spalding Education International is accredited by The International Dyslexia Association, so you can rest assured that all course materials have been thoroughly examined and tested to ensure you are getting the best training possible

I found reading difficult at school, will this course suit me?

Absolutely, the course is broken down to allow for plenty of practice and opportunities to ask questions. Having your own instructor is just like having your own coach to guide you through, someone that will be available to answer your questions to ensure you feel confident helping your child.

Do I need to attend all ten hours?

All sessions are paid for as a package and no refunds will be given if you are unable to attend. This ten hour multi-sensory course is structured over five 2 x hour sessions over a period of five weeks to allow you to practice what you have learned and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
